• What is Silk'n LumiLips?

  Silk’n LumiLips is our LED lip mask designed to tackle pigmentation, enhance volume, and reduce smile and lip lines. Using advanced LED technology, it boosts microcirculation, collagen production, and hydration—bringing out the best in your lips for a rosy, more defined and youthful glow. The result is a fuller and smoother appearance.

• How does LED light work?

  The LED light (red, dark red and amber) is absorbed by the epidermis and dermis, the two upper layers of the skin. This process triggers cellular activity, which helps to renew skin cells and repair ageing tissue. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates collagen, helps to improve blood circulation and evens the skin tone. After each session, the skin looks more beautiful and radiant than before.
  
  Near-Infrared technology is an invisible light that reaches the deeper layers of the skin and supports the production of collagen and elastin. For more volume and a smoother appearance.

• What do you tackle with the different modes of the Silk'n LumiLips?

  • Mode 1 – Red LED light (633nm) + Dark Red LED light (660nm) + Near-Infrared (830nm) + Deep Near-Infrared (1072nm):
  Anti-ageing: Helps reduce smile lines and smoker’s lines, stimulates collagen and elastin fiber production, and improves microcirculation for firmer, tighter skin.
  
  • Mode 2 – Amber LED light (605nm) + Dark Red LED light (660nm) + Near-Infrared (830nm) + Deep Near-Infrared (1072nm):
  Helps reduce pigmentation and redness, calms the skin, and promotes collagen production for a more even skin tone and tighter skin.

• What is the wavelength for each technology?

  Amber LED light is 605nm.
  Red LED light is 633nm.
  Dark red LED light is 660nm.
  Near-Infrared is 830nm.
  Deep Near-Infrared 1072nm.

• What is the irradiance?

  • Mode 1 = 30,4 - 40,2 mW/cm²
  • Mode 2 = 27,0 - 39,4 mW/cm²

• How should I wear the mask?

  Hold the mouthpiece with your mouth to carry out the session. Make sure the mask is as close to the skin as possible.

• How should I properly attach the mouthpiece to the device?

  Step 1: Make sure the mouthpiece is facing up. This can be recognized by the side with the three indentations and the small dot.
  Step 2: Insert the mouthpiece through the front side of the device.
  Step 3: Align the mouthpiece with the device, ensuring that the small dot is positioned inside the device and is not visible.

  
• Is it suitable for everyone?

  It is suitable for both women and men, for all skin types and all skin colours. However, this device is not designed for everyone's condition. Please read the contraindications in the user manual before you start your sessions.

• Is it safe?

  After extensive testing, Silk’n LumiLips has been found to be safe to use in a typical home environment by both men and women. Always read the manual carefully before using Silk'n LumiLips.

• Does a session hurt?

  No, it does not hurt. You will only feel a mild sensation of warmth during your session when using the LED function. You may also experience slight redness of the skin during and just after the treatment, but this will quickly fade.
  If you experience any discomfort, stop using the device and contact your physician. We recommend reading the user manual before starting your session.

• How should I use the Silk'n LumiLips?

  • Fully charge the product and properly attach the mouthpiece onto the device.
  • Thoroughly clean and dry your face. Make sure it is free from any make-up and dirt as they can reduce the amount of light entering the skin.
  • Press and hold the operation button to switch on the product. The product emits a long beep sound and the operation button illuminates white when switched on.
  • The LED lights turn on. By default, Mode 1 is activated. • If desired, press the operation button repeatedly to switch between Mode 1 and Mode 2.
  • The product emits a short beep sound when the operation mode is changed.
  • Hold the mouthpiece with your mouth to carry out the session.
  • The product automatically switches off after 5 minutes.
  • You can also press and hold the operation button to switch off the product at any time.
  • The product emits 2 short beep sounds when switched off.

• Should I apply a serum or cream before the session?

  Some skincare products contain ingredients that can be photosensitive or reactive when exposed to LED light. Therefore, we advise performing the session on clean, dry skin, free from any makeup, dirt, serum or cream. Apply a serum or cream after your session to hydrate the skin. However, if you choose to use one beforehand, ensure it is compatible with LED light and fully absorbed before starting your session.

• Can I combine this with the Builder serum or Balancer serum?

  Yes, you can! These serums are specially designed to be used with LED light therapy and can also be incorporated into your daily skincare routine.
  The Builder Serum is formulated to enhance anti-ageing results, while the Balancer Serum helps reduce pigmentation and redness. For more information about these serums, please visit their product pages.

• How long does a session take?

  One session takes 5 minutes in which 1 preferred mode will be active. The mask automatically switches off after 5 minutes.

• How often should I use it?

  This product is suitable for daily use. However, do not use the
  product for more than 5 minutes per session and max. once a
  day.

• When can I expect results?

  The first results can be expected after 2 weeks of daily use for 5 minutes per day.

• What kind of results can I expect?

  The first results you can expect include improved blood circulation in your lips, which gives them a more vibrant color. You may also notice fewer wrinkles on and around your lips, more defined lip contours, and eventually a fuller, plumper appearance.
  
  Since these results start gradually, we recommend taking a good “before” photo with consistent lighting and checking your progress every 2 weeks. Please note that results can vary from person to person.

• Can I sunbathe?

  Yes. Because Silk’n LumiLips is not a laser, you can sunbathe immediately before or after the session. You don’t necessarily need to use a SPF cream after the session, although this is always recommended due to the general ageing effect of UV light on the skin
  

• Is there any recovery time?

  Silk’n LumiLips works differently from laser, so there is no recovery period. The risk of skin damage is greatly reduced. You can immediately carry on with your daily activities.

• At what age can it be used?

  This device is suitable from the age of 18 and up.

• Can I use this device when I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

  No, you may not use this device when you're are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Should I close my eyes during the session?

  No, that is not necessary.

• Can I use this device if I have dermal fillers, Botox or have undergone professional (surgical) procedures like a facelift, micro needling and ablative RF/laser?

  This product was not tested on anyone who had had dermal fillers, Botox or professional (surgical) procedures. We cannot therefore advise using this product in such cases. If one of these conditions applies to you, we advise you to check with your physician before using the LumiLips.
  
  In case you underwent micro needling or ablative RF/laser, we advise to wait till your skin has completely healed before you use the mask. In case you have any concerns, consult your doctor first before you use the mask.

• How do I clean my mask?

  Detach the mouthpiece from the lip mask by pushing the mouthpiece from the inside of the device outwards. Then wash the mouthpiece with lukewarm water. Wipe it dry
  after cleaning.
  
  You can clean the mask by using a damp cloth or a water-based wipe. Then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.
