• What is Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform?

  Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform is a multiplatform anti-aging device that works with HT™ (Home Tightening) technology to reduce wrinkles and tighten the skin. FaceTite MultiPlatform combines not one, but three energy sources in one device for greater efficiency: Bipolar RF (radio frequency) energy, LED light energy and IR (infrared) heat energy. Besides that, the device comes with two attachments. Each containing a different technology.

  RF attachment: promotes skin rejuvenation, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and reconstructs collagen and elastin fibres for tighter skin, improved skin tone and texture. It also blurs superficial sun and age spots.

  EMS attachment: generates electrical pulses to stimulate muscular movements, improves blood circulation and eliminate swellings. It also strengthens the deeper layers of the skin for a firmer and more toned result.

• How does it work?

  The HT™ technology penetrates the skin, seeks out the damaged tissue and repairs it. The warmth exuded by the device stimulates the skin’s renewing properties. Collagen and elastin fibres contract and the skin repairs itself from the inside. On the outside, the skin is visibly more beautiful after each session; it looks younger and is noticeably tighter.

• Is it suitable for everyone?

  It is suitable for both women and men, for all skin types and all skin colours. This device is not designed for everyone's condition. Therefore please read the contraindications in the user manual in its entirety before you start your sessions.

• On which areas can it be used?

  It can be used on the forehead, cheeks, upper lip, chin, jawline, neck and around the eyes.

• Is it safe?

  Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform has been thoroughly tested with the conclusion that it is safe to use in a typical home environment by both men and women. The sessions are effective and the skin immediately feels tighter. Always read the manual carefully before using FaceTite MultiPlatform.

• Does it hurt?

  No. You will only feel a mild sensation of warmth during your session when using the device on its own or when using the RF attachment. When using the EMS attachment you will feel small electrical pulses that contract the facial muscles. You may also experience some very mild pink-like colouration of the skin during and just after the treatment, which will gradually fade within short.

• How should I use Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform?

  For your first session, you have to determine which energy level is right for you. Spread a thin layer of Slider Gel (included) over the area you intend to treat. Start at energy level 1 for 5 minutes and raise the energy level gradually in order to find the highest energy level that you are still comfortable with. Move the device in circular movements when using the RF attachment or linear motions when using the EMS attachment, and treat each facial area separately.

• Why should I apply Slider Gel before each session?

  Your Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform comes with a tube of Silk’n Slider Gel. This gel is required to carry out your sessions since it ensures conductivity. It is advisable that you apply the gel directly to the treatment surface of the device. Without the gel, the device will not work! The water-based gel also moisturises the skin, helps to guide the device and prevents your skin from overheating. As soon as the Slider Gel has dried up you will need to apply some extra gel. • Can I use any other type of gel?

  If you decide to use another type of gel other than Silk'n Slider Gel, it is important that this is a basic gel that is transparent and water-based. Only when following these requirements, your FaceTite MultiPlatform device will work optimally.

• Why does the device stop sometimes during a session?

  This can have two reasons. One, the Thermal Sensor of the device has reached a temperature of 42-43 degrees. The device stops working to protect your skin from overheating. It will automatically turn on as soon as your skin has cooled down.

  Two, the Slider Gel has dried up or you haven't applied enough Slider Gel. The Slider Gel ensures conductivity and at the same time protects the skin from overheating. When there is not enough Slider Gel, the device will stop working. Apply more gel to continue your session.

• What does the thermal sensor do?

  This built-in heat stabiliser measures the temperature of your skin during a session. If the thermal sensor measures a temperature above 42°C-43°C, the device will stop emitting heat automatically. Once the skin has cooled down sufficiently the session will be continued. This mechanism ensures that your skin will never become overheated.

• How long does a session take?

  The total session time for one single facial zone takes 3 minutes when using the device without attachment on smaller areas and 5 minutes when using the device with attachment on larger areas. We recommend to start at a low energy level. Gradually raise it to the a higer energy level if you are still comfortable with it.

  It is important that you treat each area individually, one small area of your face at a time. This way the temperature on your skin remains constant. You can see the facial zones in the diagram showed in the user manual.

• How often should I use it?

  In order to get the best results, you should use the Silk'n FaceTite MultiPlatform twice a week, for at least ten weeks. After that, use once every 2 weeks to maintain results.

• When can I expect results?

  Visible results can be seen after 5 weeks. Best results can be seen after 10 weeks. Keep in mind that results will depend on how consistent the regimen plan is followed and vary from person per person.

• Should I do anything after the session?

  After the session you should gently wipe the gel residue off your skin, using hand drying napkins or a towel. You can also wash your face with some cleansing lotion and water. After this it is recommended to use a moisturizer to soothe the skin.

• Can I take sunbaths?

  Yes. Because Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform is not a laser, you can sunbathe immediately before or after the session. You don’t necessarily have to use a SPF cream, although this is always recommended due to the general ageing effect of UV light on the skin.

• Is there any recovery time?

  Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform works in a different way from laser, which means that there is no need for a recovery period. The chance of skin damage is thus greatly reduced. You can immediately carry on with your daily activities.

• At what age can it be used?

  This device is suitable from the age of 18 and up. Please note: this device does not have a preventive effect. This device works best on visibly mature skin.

• Am I allowed to use this device when I am pregnant or nursing?

  No, you are not allowed to use this device when your are pregnant or nursing.

• Should I use eye protection when using Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform?

  No, you don’t need to wear eye protection when using Silk’n FaceTite MultiPlatform.

• Can I use this device if I have dermal fillers, botox or underwent professional (surgical) procedures like a facelift, micro needling and ablative RF/laser?

  Please consult your dermatologist for advice before using the FaceTite MultiPlatform.

• Can I use this device if I have a dental implant, veneers or a crown?

  The instructions state that FaceTite MultiPlatform should not be used if you have permanent implants, including metal plates and screws. Do you have a dental implant and nevertheless want to treat the area around your mouth using FaceTite MultiPlatform? This is ONLY possible if you observe the following precautions.

  If you have a dental implant, you can only use FaceTite MultiPlatform if you properly protect your implant. The best way to do this is to place cotton wool rolls or pads on the inside of your mouth/jaw. This protects your implant, so that the energy released by FaceTite MultiPlatform cannot reach it.

  If you have veneers or a crown, you can use FaceTite MultiPlatform without any problems.

• How do I clean my device?

  After each session, it is necessary to clean your Silk'n FaceTite MultiPlatform device, especially the surface of the device and the attachments.

  Unplug the Silk'n FaceTite MultiPlatform before cleaning. Use absorbent paper (such as toilet paper or hand drying napkins) to gently wipe the gel residue off the surface of the device or the attachments. Make sure to wipe away all the gel residue. Never immerse your Silk'n FaceTite MultiPlatform or any of its parts in water!

• How long is the battery life?

  The FaceTite MultiPlatform can be used up to 40 minutes on one full charge if used cordless. For your conveniece, you can also use the device with cord by plugging the adapter into the mains supply.

• Does the device turn off automatically?

  Yes, the Silk'n FaceTite MultiPlatform has an automatic shut-off timer and will shut-off automatically after 15 minutes.

• Will there be more attachments available within the future?

  Yes, there will be more attachments coming. Keep an eye on the website for future updates!
