• What is Silk’n Dual LED Mask?

  Silk’n Dual LED Mask is a skin improving beauty tool that consists of two masks, one for the face and one for the neck. The masks tackle a range of skin issues, including signs of ageing, acne-related redness and dry skin.

• Can the masks be used separately?

  Yes! You can use the masks separately. However, the connector piece also enables you to use the face and neck mask simultaneously.

• How does the remote control work?

  Use the remote control to switch between the four different modes by using the operation button. There are also 3 intensity levels that enable you to increase the brightness of the LED lights.

  Furthermore, the remote control utilises blue LED light for targeted reduction of acne-related redness and blemishes.

• Which skin problems are tackled by the LED colours?

  • Mode 1 – red LED light (630nm) + dark red LED light (660nm) + Near-Infrared (830nm):
  Reduces fine lines and wrinkles, reconstructs collagen and elastin fibres and helps to improve microcirculations.

  • Mode 2 – dark red LED light (660nm) + Near-Infrared (830nm):
  For brighter and smoother skin.

  • Mode 3 – red LED light (630nm) + dark red LED light (660nm):
  Balances oil secretion and soothes sensitive skin.

  • Mode 4 – blue LED light (405nm):
  Accelerates the fading of acne-related redness for a more even skin tone.

• How does it differ from other face masks on the market?

  As opposed to masks that are made of hard, non-flexible material, Silk'n Dual LED Mask is made of natural silicone material. This means that the mask is flexible, fits your skin perfectly and is comfortable to wear. The LED lights of Silk'n Dual LED Mask can get closer to your skin. This allows the light to penetrate deeper and evenly in the skin for better results.
  In addition, this product not only combines red LED light (630nm) and Near-Infrared (830nm) technology, it also utilises dark red LED light (660nm), achieving skin improvement in different layers of the skin.

• How does it work?

  The LED light (red and dark red) is absorbed by the skin and the dermis. This triggers cellular activity, which helps to renew skin cells and repair ageing tissue. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates collagen and helps to improve blood circulation. After each session, the skin looks more beautiful and radiant than before.

  Near-Infrared technology is an invisible light that reaches the deeper layers of the skin and supports the production of collagen and elastin. For more volume and a smoother appearance.

• Is it suitable for everyone?

  It is suitable for both women and men, for all skin types and all skin colours. However, this device is not designed for everyone's condition. Please read the contraindications in the user manual before you start your sessions.

• Is it safe?

  After extensive testing, Silk’n Dual LED Mask has been found to be safe to use in a typical home environment by both men and women. Always read the manual carefully before using Dual LED Mask.

• Does a session hurt?

  No. You will only feel a mild sensation of warmth during your treatment. You may also experience some slight redness of the skin during and just after the treatment. This will quickly fade.
  If you experience any discomfort, please stop using the device and contact your physician.
  We advise you to always read the user manual before starting your treatment.

• How should I use Silk’n Dual LED Mask?

  After fully charging the Silk'n Dual LED Mask, thoroughly clean and dry your face, neck and hands. Make sure they are free from any make-up or dirt. Sit or lie down and place the masks over your face and/or neck. You can use the straps to fit the masks comfortably on your face and/or neck. Finally, select one of the modes.

• Should I apply a serum or cream before the session?

  No, before the session your skin must be dry. However, you can apply a serum or day/night cream after the session with Silk'n Dual LED Mask.

• How long does a session take?

  One session takes 10 minutes in which 1 preferred mode will be active. The mask automatically switches off after 10 minutes.

  If you want to treat a specific spot on the skin with blue LED light, a session takes 3 minutes. The remote control switches off automatically after 3 minutes.

  Important: we advise treating your skin for no longer than 10 minutes per session.

• How often should I use it?

  If you are using the product for the first time, follow the schedule
  below:

  First week - Use 3 times a week, max. 10 minutes at a time.

  Second week - Use 3 times a week, max. 10 minutes at a time.

  Third week - Use 3 times a week, max. 10 minutes at a time.

  Fourth week - Use 3 times a week, max. 10 minutes at a time.

  Afterwards, use the product 1-2 times a week.

• When can I expect results?

  The effect of using this product mainly depends on your skin type. Additionally, results vary from person to person. Normally you can expect results in about 2-3 weeks.

• Should I do anything after the session?

  After the session, you can apply a serum and/or a day/night cream to nourish your skin.

• Can I sunbathe?

  Yes. Because Silk’n Dual LED Mask is not a laser, you can sunbathe immediately before or after the session. You don’t necessarily need to use a SPF cream, although this is always recommended due to the general ageing effect of UV light on the skin.

• Is there any recovery time?

  Silk’n Dual LED Mask works differently from laser, so there is no recovery period. The risk of skin damage is greatly reduced. You can immediately carry on with your daily activities.

• At what age can it be used?

  This device is suitable from the age of 18 and up.

• Can I use this device when I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

  No, you may not use this device when your are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Should I close my eyes during the session?

  No, that is not necessary.

• Can I use this device if I have dermal fillers, Botox or have undergone professional (surgical) procedures like a facelift, micro needling and ablative RF/laser?

  This product was not tested on anyone who had had dermal fillers, Botox or professional (surgical) procedures. We cannot therefore advise using this product in such cases. If one of these conditions applies to you, we advise you to check with your physician before using the Dual LED Mask.

  In case you underwent micro needling or ablative RF/laser, we advise to wait till your skin has completely healed before you use Dual LED Mask. In case you have any concerns, consult your doctor first before you use Dual LED Mask.

• How do I clean my mask?

  You can clean the mask using a damp cloth or a water-based wipe. Then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.

• What is the wavelength for each technology?

  • Mode 1 – red LED light (630nm), dark red LED light (660nm) + Near-Infrared (830nm):

• What is the irradiation intensity per cm2?

  • Mode 1 – in mode one it is between 35.1mW/cm² in level 1 and 63.5mW/cm² in level 3

  • Mode 2 – in mode two it is between 21.9mW/cm²
  in level 1 and 39.4mW/cm² in level 3

  • Mode 3 – in mode three it is between 25.5mW/cm²
  in level 1 and 46.4mW/cm² in level 3
